I’m obsessed: Summer Beauty Products

15 Jun

I’m a big fan of summer beauty for several reasons,
the main one being its simplicity!

The south is hot so there is no use in piling on makeup when you are either going to sweat it all off or ruin it by jumping in the pool.

Obsession #1: Sunscreen
WEAR IT.
There is no tan worth skin cancer
and don’t even get me started on wrinkles and leathery skin.
I love Neutrogena’s Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock.

It soaks right in and isn’t the least bit greasy– Trust me, this stuff is great.
It’s under $10 and you can find it everywhere.
*Be sure to wear at least SPF 30.

Obsession #2: Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray
B&B Surf Spray is beach hair in a bottle.
You can use it on damp hair and twist into buns to create lazy waves
or spray into dry curled hair for added texture.
There is a reason why it keeps popping up year after year and everyone from Blake Lively to Jen Garner swears by it, and that reason is that it’s amazing.
$26 at Sephora.

Obsession #3: Physician’s Formula Bronzer
I’ve been using this stuff since 8th grade. No lie. It’s the best!
I’ve tried other brands, but none hold a candle to this sunny, drugstore bronzer!
It’s just the right color, not orange at all, and not too brown for my fair skin.
(It comes in shades for fair, medium and dark skin tones.)
My only gripe is that this damn compact breaks every single time! The top cannot stay attached! But it’s pros far outweigh the cons. Definite obsession.
$10 available at any drugstore

Obsession #4: Chanel Glossimer in Pensee
This must be the most universally flattering shade out this summer.
It falls somewhere between red, pink and coral and has a gorgeous (but subtle) gold glitter that no female could turn down.

$29 at Chanel counters

Obsession #5: Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo
This one speaks for its self. As much as I love an aerosol dry shampoos, this is my favorite. It lasts forever and actually works (without weighing your hair down)!
Dry shampoo application tip: Use it the night before and sleep on it; hair looks perfectly clean the next morning, very natural, not at all “powder-y”.
$19 at Sephora

Honorable mentions:

Benefit High Beam
Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm
Bond No 9 High Line
Burts Bees Milk & Honey Moisturizer
Essie Brazilliant
